TV, so fun!

We have been filming with the cast of "Out and About" this last week for their series to air statewide this Fall on FOX. It was a ton of fun to work with the cast, actually we had worked with Robin before in our last runway show. We will keep you posted when it airs.

"Grow in Peace" my love

Every time I meet someone one and we talk about what we do for a living the conversation usually goes to "Where did you go to College" and/or "What did you Study". Now my response is a good one because it throws people off and they don't know exactly how to respond. "I have a degree in Agricultural Science, with an Option in Education". Now i own a clothing brand. Blank stare is the dominant response so far.

Our lives are twists and turns that put us in places we never could have foreseen. College taught me a lot about myself, but my mistakes have taught me more.
Being married you learn even more about yourself and my biggest hope is that when hard times hit you are able to recover, heal, and then grow again!
For my wife I designed this shirt. May she grow in beauty and in peace!

The Show...Part 2

Just received some of the pictures from our performance show we did last week.
We decided to incorporate some drama to the piece that represented themes that need renewal. Here you will see three, Addiction, Poverty, and Loss of Innocence.
All three in the performance were "Restored" from these afflictions and it was quite powerful!

Restored Fashion Show

WOW.. need i say more?? If you missed out on our spring 2009 Fashion Show, I mean it, you really missed out! Live DJ, photographer, female and male runway models, hip hop dancers, live band, huge catwalk, oh and restored clothing of course! It was a lot of work but definitely worth it. The crowd seemed to love the show and really show interest in what restored is all about.

It was really inspiring to see how much restored has really grown right in front of mica's eyes, its a dream come true to him and a much deserved blessing! On the note of restored growing, i have my first appointment for the end of this month which is a huge deal for me. In this recession we are going through, times have been really tough on everyone. So that's it for now, I will keep you posted as my life goes around!

Casting Call

We had our first open casting call for our May 7th show. It was an amazing night of meeting people from all over Nor Cal. We had a DJ, Oscar, Spin some monster tracks as we had our candidates walk and get to know us. With the talent we had come out I know May 7th will be amazing to watch so please come out and see the music, art, and Fashion. We promise to make it an experience

Four Reasons why we are not just another Clothing Company

It doesn't matter where you from or what your life experience has been, you have been hurt, you have seen some form of injustice, or you have desires to grow through seasons of pain, fear, or affliction. Restored Clothing wants to encourage your personal journey and put out designs that reflect this human need.

2. The power to give is in your hands
We decided from day one that Restored's giving would be determined by the customer. We felt a strong desire that our clothing should be a voice for those we support financially and so it calls upon you to understand when you pick the size of the shirt you want you must also learn who you are helping when you pick a charity to give to. We wouldn't have it any other way...

3. There is more than meets the eye
When we work with a designer we ask them to tell us a story with their art. A story of renewal, of victory, or remembrance. It is facinating to see what the heart puts down onto paper and then we get to share it on our clothing. Take the time to read the stories behind the designs.

4. We do it the hard way
We have the joy of printing and embellishing each piece by hand. We feel that this gives the work the same uniqueness as the person who wears it. Both are fashioned in hope.

Doin' what she does

I found this image of our Friend Carley. We have had the joy of watching her dance at one of our shows and it is amazing to see how much time and emotion she puts into her art.
We are pretty proud that she is sporting us around as she is doing what she does best.

Supporting the Local Boy

We are so excited to send off Chico's very own Kyle Williams.
He is leaving on March 12th on a 10 day Cali tour that will surely please folks wherever he goes.

Restored Setting up Shop in Seattle Area

It was for a number of circumstances that I am visiting the Seattle area right now. Family, old friends, amazing coffee, and expanding Restored. One of the greatest privileges we have is when people catch onto what Restored is doing and ask "What can I do?" That is the case for our new Sales Rep, Cassi!
She is a student as Seattle Pacific University and a Chico native.
We had the opportunity to set Cassi up and she is now getting ready to hit the streets and bring Restored Clothing to Wa!
We have full confidence in Cassi as she is an amazing young person who will do us proud.

I keep on trying

Staying positive seems daunting if you choice to inform yourself with what is taking place in our surroundings.
No I am not talking about the economy, nor our forecast of when any of our money matters will improve.
I am speaking about if we choose to become informed with the stories of the people we walk by in the routine of our lives. There are people hurting in these times, people excited about a new day, and many enriching facts about those who we often see in the peripheral of our lives.
Like today, as I was walking to Restored's office downtown, I saw one of our local homeless citizens kicking over tables, throwing ashtrays, walking through traffic, and just causing a ruckus. However no one does anything. We ignore, we pretend he isn't there, hopefully we hit the brakes enough for him to get out of the way.
Truth is as more stories and reflections come from Restored, I am learning that our brand has to have ears to perk up to the people around us.
Though it is painful and chaotic to be in Relationship, that is what we are called to do. Even though I fail at it, I don't give up and keep on trying!

The Meaning behind, "Our Logo"

One of the best ways we want our customers to become fans of our Brand is their ability to relate to the ideas and themes we put into every design. Restored is about the many things we have lost, been forced to endure, or the very pursuit of renewal.
Our Logo may look Simple at first, but if you look closely you can see the image is being "Restored" itself. One leaf of the olive branch is alive and bearing fruit, while the other has withered and frail. The lettering is doing very much the same and as you read left to right we finally see the letters complete in form.
Finally if you count the olives you will see that there are 12 in number. This is to symbolize the twelve tribes of Israel. As a promised nation they have endured a history of trials, renewal, and demonstrated an ability to survive.
This and many other stories have inspired us to continually grow and pursue telling the story of the Restored through our clothing and strengthened our pursuit of advocating for the Non-profits we support.
